Youth-Guided Practices

Youth-guided principles are a key component of the Building Bridges Initiative. In recognizing the expertise that youth have through their lived experience, providers partner with youth to determine what types of services and supports may be most beneficial. Providers also seek to elevate youth voice to inform and drive decisions across the agency. Residential centers develop youth advisory councils and governance structure policies that ensure youth are represented in a way that is authentic and meaningful.
