This webinar is for residential program executive and program leaders, clinical staff, and lead direct-care staff who work or will work with families in their homes and communities, as well as for state oversight agency leaders and staff, family and youth peer mentors/advocates, family members and older youth. This webinar offers a foundation for successfully engaging and partnering with families, and implementing and/or improving family-driven care practices. This webinar provides an opportunity to learn from leaders who have extensive expertise in working with families in their homes and communities.
The webinar features the clinical director from Damar, Inc. in Indiana, Angel Knapp, MSW, CSAYC. As part of the presentation on the Damar clinical practice model, strategies will be presented that address family engagement practices, and workforce development issues, including staff support and supervision for working with families in their homes and communities. Strategies will also address working with families with complex challenges. Pat Mosby, a family peer advocate, will offer an inside perspective of successfully engaging families and the role of family peer advocates related to the strategies presented.
