Barbara Granger, the TxSOC’s Family Involvement Specialist, received the 30th Annual National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health Conference Award for her work on “Reclaiming Children.”

The awards recognized substantial contributions made to the field of children’s mental health and to children and youth who experience behavioral health challenges and their families.

Barbara Granger

As Texas’ lead family contact for mental health, Barbara brings expertise and passion to ensure family voice is heard throughout the state of Texas. Barbara chairs the Texas Family Voice Network, elevating family voice in all aspects of children’s mental health program and policy development, implementation, and evaluation. She helps members to identify a shared voice for platforms and priorities for families and provides opportunities for new leaders to make meaningful contributions to the work.

Barbara’s work in Texas will last for many years to come and will positively impact the lives of many more children and families.

Congratulations, Barbara!
